On May 13, 2022, MPAcc education center of Huaqiao University successfully held the 2022 master of accounting degree thesis defense meeting. A total of 45 master of accounting students participated in the graduation thesis defense.

            According to the requirements of the Notice on the Arrangement of the Defense of Graduate Dissertations in this Semester (Research [2022] No. 18), the center attaches great importance to the defense of Graduate Dissertations, carefully organizes and arranges, and formulates a detailed implementation plan. At the same time, in order to further improve the quality of the thesis and improve the academic level of the thesis defense, Professor Wu Zhanchi of Jinan University and Professor Xuping of Fuzhou University were employed as the chairman of the thesis defense committee respectively, and Huang Haibin, President of Quanzhou bank and Huang Shuangxing, director of Huaxing certified public accountants, were employed as the members of the Defense Committee.

             Due to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, this defense adopts the combination of “Online + offline” and the two defense modes of “ask and answer” + “ask before answer” through voice dialogue,  slide display, video sharing, etc. The defense is divided into four groups, two groups in the morning and two groups in the afternoon. The respondent focused on the presentation from the aspects of topic selection motivation, research content, research conclusion, paper innovation and research deficiency. The respondent members were serious and responsible, conducted in-depth research on the paper, and made serious comments on the topic selection, framework structure, specific content and details of the paper. It not only encourages and urges the students, but also sharply criticizes the existing problems, and puts forward targeted revision opinions and directions. The students listened carefully and humbly to the opinions and suggestions of the committee members and gave positive answers to the questions raised by the committee members. Finally, the defense committee voted by secret ballot on the defense of the students, and formed and read out the resolution of the Defense Committee. After the resolution was issued, the respondent took a group photo with the students.

           The defense process is open and transparent, rigorous and fair, the process is standardized, the defense work is in good order, and successfully completed.
