At 14:30 on September 28, 2018, the field defense of the first MPAcc case competition of Huaqiao University opened in Room 104 of Wenzhong Building. This case competition attracted a total of 55 students from 9 teams in 2017. Professor Chen Jinlong, Professor Zeng Fanying, Associate Professor Wu Liyuan, Associate Professor Huang Zhongjie, Lecturer Shao Zhigao, as the expert judge group, marked and commented on the participating students.

          In this competition, the members of each group have made active and full preparations -- following the revision of the case draft for many times, making PPT, the group for several times to discuss the competition plan, printing the defense case draft, and so on. Each group member is very busy. Competition scene, each group is full of enthusiasm, confidence, full of fighting spirit, as well as the cheerleading team for the group of the game cheer it! The competition began immediately. Professor Zeng Fanying announced that the preliminary round of the case competition was officially opened. The nine teams took turns to make speeches and defense according to the order of drawing straws

           The site defense of the preliminary contest is divided into PPT display and judges questions. In the PPT presentation session, the students won the praise of the judges and applause from the audience by their solid professional skills, broad knowledge background, confident and atmospheric manner, original and insightful viewpoints and wonderful PPT presentation. In the question-asking session, the judges' sharp inquiry and the students' easy answers formed a positive interaction, and the scene was climax one after another.

           After the on-site defense, the judges affirmed the efforts made by the students for the competition, and suggested that the students still need to improve the level of basic accounting skills, and pay attention to the management accounting knowledge about case analysis. The result of the preliminary competition will be composed of two parts: the score of the electronic version of the case and the score of the site defense. After the competition, the students took a group photo with the judges for commemoration.

          Through this competition, the students improved their communication, cooperation, organization and coordination skills. In case analysis, they combined theory with practice and applied what they learned, which benefited them a lot.
