In order to build up the excellent study style of the graduate school, enrich the students' spare time life, and cultivate their critical thinking ability and language expression ability, the graduate union of Huaqiao university hosted the annual "Huayan cup" debate competition, in which 9 teams took part on behalf of 9 colleges.

          On October 29, 2017, the School of Business Administration debate team "We say what team" in the preliminary match against the School of Biological Medicine "opponents argue friends please self-respect team", the debate on the topic of "multi-child families or single-child families which is happier"was proceed ardent, and finally the School of Business Administration successfully broke through the competition and entered the semifinal.

        Because this debate is low knockout, intermediary heat on November 4, our institute  again with the school of biological medicine on "poverty or wealth, which can expose the evil of human nature more".A lips gun heated dispute this issue, eight debater, provided a wonderful game for the audience, eventually win the game, besides the School of Biological Medicine also got a promotion.

         In the semifinal of November 12th, our school and the School of Political Science and Public Administration had a wonderful match on the debate of "whether selfishness should be condemned in the face of disaster". The School of Political Science and Public Administration won the match with its rigorous argument and wonderful performance.

         On November 18th, our school fought with the School of Biological Medicine again for the third place in the debate of "whether adequate food and clothing is a necessary condition for talking about morality". Unfortunately, it was the School of Biological Medicine won the competition this time. The School of Biological Medicine was both an opponent and a friend. Finally, the School of Business Administration won the honorable title of Excellent Team.

           Xiao Linyuan, Li Xianglin, Tang Jun, Xu Jialiang, Lv Guangci and other students from 2017 Master of Professional Accounting major participated in the debate competition. After four rounds of competition, everyone benefited a lot, especially from the field of critical thinking and response ability, team spirit, on-the-spot language organization ability and so on have been a solid exercise.
